Exceptional wines from the iconic Russian River Valley of Sonoma County
“I ride over my beautiful ranch … The air is wine. The grapes on a score of rolling hills are red with autumn flame. Across Sonoma Mountain, wisps of sea fog are stealing. The afternoon sun smolders in the drowsy sky. I have everything to make me glad I am alive.”
— Jack London, 1913
The Russian River Valley
Slusser Ranch is located in the heart of the Russian River Valley, home to world-renowned Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Zinfandel wines. These grape varietals thrive in the warm days followed by the nighttime arrival of cooling fog spilling over the coastal range from the cold waters of the North Pacific. This ensures a wine with mature fruit while maintaining depth and suppleness.
Mark West Creek
Bounded by Mark West Creek to the south, the loamy soils of Slusser Ranch drive a unique minerality into the grape. This complements the intense fruit flavor to create a well-balanced structure in the wine.
Est. 1847
One of Sonoma County’s original homesteads, Slusser Ranch was settled in 1847 by California pioneer Levi Samuel Bacon Slusser and continues to be farmed by the Slusser family today, five generations later. Each bottle captures a piece of this history. Enjoy!
